Description

This cheerful stoneware mug puts Bugs Bunny at the heart of your morning cup, grinning wide with a carrot in one hand and a finger raised as if he has something to say. The Looney Tunes favourite is printed in soft greys, pink and bright orange on a clean white body, and he appears on both sides, so he faces you whichever hand you drink with. The inside and the handle are a light blue that picks up the blue edging around the artwork. It holds 11oz, a good everyday measure for tea or coffee, and stands 9.7cm tall, 11.5cm wide and 8cm deep.

It brings a dose of Saturday morning cartoon fun to the kitchen shelf, the breakfast table or a desk at work, and the light blue handle is easy to spot in a cupboard full of plain mugs. Whether it is your first coffee of the day, a mid-afternoon tea or a hot chocolate before bed, it makes the routine feel a little brighter. It also makes an easy gift to wrap, one that raises a smile the moment the paper comes off and goes straight into use.

Stoneware gives the mug a solid, dependable feel, and the outside has a smooth, glossy finish that shows the print clearly. The handle is a generous loop with room for your fingers, and the rim is the same light blue as the inside. To keep the colours bright, we suggest a gentle wash by hand in warm soapy water and drying with a soft cloth rather than scrubbing with anything abrasive. Wrap it with a favourite tea or a packet of hot chocolate for a ready-made present, or keep it by the kettle and let Bugs start the day with you.
