Description

The Lofoten is a 230mm square outdoor flush ceiling light built from electro-galvanised steel with a black powder-coated finish and four clear glass panels forming a box lantern around a single E27 bulb holder. The fitting mounts directly to the ceiling with a 270mm total projection, making it suitable for covered porches, carports, entrance canopies and low-ceiling outdoor areas where a pendant would hang too low.

Designed for exterior use under cover, the Lofoten carries an IP44 rating, protecting the bulb holder and internal wiring from dust ingress and water splashes from any direction. This makes it safe for installation on porch ceilings, covered walkways and balconies where rain reaches the fitting at an angle but does not pool directly on top. The clear glass panels allow light from the E27 bulb to cast in all four horizontal directions plus downwards, giving even light distribution across the ceiling-mounted area without creating harsh shadows.

The box-frame proportions of 230mm x 230mm x 270mm give the fitting enough presence to read clearly on a porch ceiling without dominating smaller entrance areas. The black powder coating over galvanised steel resists corrosion in coastal and urban environments, and the matte finish hides fingerprints and minor surface marks better than gloss black. The fitting accepts any standard E27 LED or filament bulb up to 60W (sold separately), allowing control over light colour and brightness to suit the specific entrance or outdoor space.
