Description

The Loewe Slim is a 5-light chandelier with polished chrome arms radiating from a central bubbled glass feature, each arm topped with a cream organza shade over an E14 bulb fitting. The chrome arms curve outward and upward in a symmetrical arrangement, suspending the shades at a consistent height around the 500mm diameter frame. The bubbled glass centrepiece is positioned mid-height on the vertical stem, acting as a decorative focal point where the arms originate.

Designed for dining rooms, living rooms and bedroom spaces with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above, the chandelier provides ambient light diffused through the organza shades rather than direct downlight. The 740-2240mm drop range allows installation in standard ceiling heights as well as double-height or vaulted spaces, with the chain adjustable during fitting. The 500mm diameter suits tables of 1200-1600mm length or room centres in spaces of 12-20m². The polished chrome finish reflects room light and pairs with both contemporary and traditional interiors that use warm metallics or neutral tones.

Each of the five arms holds one E14 small Edison screw bulb (sold separately), giving flexibility to choose LED, halogen or candle-style filament bulbs depending on the required brightness and colour temperature. The cream organza shades are translucent rather than opaque, so the bulb choice affects the overall light quality. Warm white LEDs at 2700K provide a softer glow, while daylight LEDs at 4000K give a crisper, brighter output. The chandelier weighs 7.7kg when fully assembled, requiring a ceiling fixing capable of supporting that load plus the weight of the bulbs and chain.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 740mm minimum drop works in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above when hung centrally. The maximum 2240mm drop suits double-height or vaulted ceilings.

Can the drop height be adjusted after installation?

The chain length is set during installation by removing or adding links before the chandelier is wired in. Once installed, adjusting the drop requires isolating the power and re-accessing the ceiling rose to shorten or lengthen the chain.

How is the polished chrome maintained?

Polished chrome shows fingerprints and water marks more readily than brushed finishes. Wipe with a soft, dry microfibre cloth for routine cleaning. For marks or tarnish, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, followed by immediate drying to prevent water spots.
