Description

The Loewe is a three-leg tripod floor lamp with antique brass legs converging at a central bubbled crystal element, supporting a 550mm soft bronze pleated fabric shade. The lamp houses three E27 bulbs (sold separately) inside the shade, casting diffused ambient light filtered through the bronze fabric. The crystal detail at the joint refracts light when the lamp is switched on, adding visual interest to the central column.

Designed for living rooms, lounges and reading corners where ambient rather than task lighting is needed, the Loewe stands 1600mm tall with a 550mm shade diameter. The tripod footprint of approximately 600mm gives stability on floors and rugs without requiring wall fixing. The lamp is dimmable when paired with dimmable E27 LED or halogen bulbs and a compatible dimmer switch, allowing light levels to be adjusted from functional brightness to low background mood lighting.

The antique brass finish on the three legs shows a warmer, less polished tone than bright brass, pairing well with traditional, contemporary and mid-century interiors. The soft bronze pleated shade softens the light output and coordinates with the brass legs to create a unified warm metallic palette. At 13.24kg, the lamp has substantial weight that reduces the risk of tipping but may require two people to position safely.

The pleated fabric shade is secured to the frame with a metal ring that can be removed for bulb changes. The three legs splay outward from the crystal centre at equal angles, distributing the lamp's weight evenly across the floor. The antique brass finish is applied to metal tubing rather than solid brass rod, keeping the overall weight manageable while maintaining a premium appearance.

What bulbs does the Loewe take?

The lamp takes three E27 (Edison screw) bulbs, sold separately. Most users pair it with warm-white LED bulbs between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for ambient room lighting. The lamp accepts bulbs up to the maximum wattage shown in the Specification table.

Is the Loewe dimmable?

Yes, when paired with dimmable E27 bulbs and a compatible dimmer switch. The lamp itself does not include dimming controls. Dimmer compatibility depends on the bulbs you choose and the dimmer model installed in the circuit.

What room size does it suit?

The 550mm shade diameter and 1600mm height suit medium to large living rooms, lounges and bedrooms. In smaller rooms the lamp may dominate visually. The three-bulb configuration provides enough light for ambient room lighting in spaces up to approximately 20-25 square metres.

How is the shade cleaned?

The pleated fabric shade attracts dust over time. Vacuum gently with a soft brush attachment or use a lint roller for surface dust. For deeper cleaning, spot-clean with a barely-damp cloth and allow to air-dry fully before switching the lamp back on.
