Description

The Lipari is a 15cm surface-mounted downlight with a cylindrical matt black aluminium body and a polished gold interior reflector. The cylinder terminates in an oblique cut that angles the light aperture approximately 25 degrees from vertical, allowing the fitting to direct light at a wall, artwork, or architectural feature rather than straight down. A single GU10 bulb (sold separately) sits recessed inside the gold reflector, which amplifies the light output and casts a warm tonal bias regardless of the bulb colour temperature chosen.

Designed for accent lighting in hallways, above artwork, along kitchen islands or in living rooms where focused directional light is preferred over ambient downlighting, the Lipari mounts directly to the ceiling via a recessed base plate with no need for a ceiling cut-out or recessed housing. The 6cm diameter body projects 15cm from the ceiling, making it suitable for ceiling heights of 2.4m or above where head clearance is not a concern. The angled aperture means the fitting can be positioned to wash light across a textured wall, highlight a piece of furniture, or create a corridor of directed light when installed in a row.

The matt black exterior finish absorbs ambient light during the day, giving the fitting a low-profile presence when switched off. When lit, the gold interior reflects and concentrates the GU10 beam, creating a warmer, richer quality of light than a plain white reflector would. The aluminium construction keeps the weight at approximately 300g per fitting, light enough for installation on standard plasterboard ceilings with appropriate fixings. The IP20 rating restricts use to dry indoor areas only.
