Description

The Lidia is a 40cm diameter pendant light with a shallow dome shade in matt white metal, housing an integrated 12W LED that produces 1500 lumens at 3000K. The dome shape directs light both downwards and outwards, providing functional task light below and ambient wash light at the periphery. The pendant suspends on a cylindrical white metal canopy and stem, with the drop adjustable between 400mm and 1800mm during installation.

Designed for kitchens, dining tables, breakfast bars and open-plan living areas where directional light is needed without glare, the Lidia pairs task and ambient functions in a single fitting. At a 400mm drop the pendant sits close to the ceiling for low-ceiling installations, while the full 1800mm extension positions the shade 700-900mm above a worktop or dining surface for targeted downlight. The 40cm diameter suits tables 120-160cm long or kitchen islands of similar length when used singly, or can be clustered in groups of two or three over longer surfaces.

The matt white finish on the metal shade diffuses reflections and complements white, light grey and soft-toned interiors without introducing visual weight. The underside of the dome is also white, reflecting the LED light upwards into the shade before it exits, which softens the output and reduces the harshness of bare LED. At 2.6kg the pendant is substantial enough for stability on the cable but light enough for standard UK ceiling roses. The integrated LED is rated for 20,000 hours at the stated 1500 lumens, equivalent to approximately 11 years of use at 5 hours per day.

Is the Lidia dimmable?

No. The integrated LED is non-dimmable and operates at a fixed 1500 lumens on 220-240V mains supply.

What height should the pendant be installed?

Over a dining table or kitchen island, the bottom of the shade typically sits 700-900mm above the surface. Over a worktop for task lighting, 600-700mm clearance is standard. The drop is adjustable between 400mm and 1800mm during installation to suit different ceiling heights and applications.

Can multiple Lidia pendants be grouped?

Yes. For longer dining tables or kitchen islands over 160cm, two or three Lidia pendants spaced evenly provide more balanced coverage than a single fitting. Space centres 80-100cm apart for even distribution.

How is the matt white finish maintained?

Wipe the shade with a dry microfibre cloth when cool. For stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but avoid household sprays or abrasive cleaners that can damage the matt finish.
