Description

The Lena is a 605mm table lamp built around a mouth-blown smoke-tinted glass base with a twisted, faceted profile that refracts light through its vertical ridges. The glass sits on a polished nickel plinth and connects to a matching polished nickel fitment that holds a 350mm diameter off-white satin shade, handmade in the UK with a matt silver laminate lining. Two E27 bulb sockets provide the light source, with one inside the glass base and one beneath the shade.

A three-position rotary switch on the cable allows the lamp to operate in dual-lit mode: base only, shade only, or both together. Base-only mode turns the glass into a sculptural light source and casts refracted patterns onto nearby surfaces, while shade-only mode provides directed task light for reading. Full dual-lit mode combines both for general ambient lighting. The off-white shade diffuses light evenly downwards and outwards, while the silver lining increases efficiency by reflecting light back through the fabric rather than absorbing it into the shade structure.
