Description

Steel, glass and PMMA come together in our Lemon Squeeze Single Wall Light Short, a design finished in warm Plated Brass. A single glass tube sits held between brass fittings, carried on a curved arm that reaches out from the wall. It is a slim, honest shape with no shade to soften it, so the materials do the work. We like how the brass catches the light and lends a quiet warmth to a hallway, a bedside or a spot beside a reading chair, and the Short size keeps things neat where space is tight.

In its Short form this wall light measures 77 × 8 × 15.2cm and weighs just 1.8kg, so it settles easily against the wall without dominating the room. We have kept assembly simple, with a fitting time of around 20 minutes, and the light source is a single GU10 bulb rated to a maximum of 15W LED, which is not included. It is also compatible with the Focused Idea bulb, again sold separately, should you want to pair the two. That gives you room to choose a warmer or cooler tone to suit the space, whether you want something soft near 2700K or a little brighter for a working corner.

We think it earns its place above a dining table, flanking a mirror or lighting a stairwell, and it works just as well in pairs on either side of a bed. The Plated Brass finish sits happily alongside natural woods, deep greens and soft grey walls, so you can build a scheme around it without much fuss. Because the glass tube is the whole of the design, we would keep the wall around it fairly plain and let the lamp read clearly.
