Description

Steel, glass and PMMA come together in our Lemon Squeeze Double Wall Light Long, a wall light built around two short glass tubes held vertically between plated brass fittings on a wall plate. We chose the Plated Brass finish for its warm, golden tone, which catches the light and lends a soft glow to the fixtures. The Long version stands at 94cm tall, with a depth of 18.5cm and a width of 16.2cm, giving it a slim, upright presence that works well flanking a mirror, a doorway or the head of a bed.

This wall light is practical as well as good looking. It weighs 3.8kg, so it sits securely once mounted, and we reckon on around 20 minutes for assembly and fitting. The twin glass tubes take 2 × GU10 bulbs, up to a maximum of 15W LED each, which are not included so you can choose the colour temperature and brightness that suits your space. If you prefer a warmer feel, a 2700K bulb will bring out the golden quality of the brass, while a cooler bulb gives a crisper, brighter light. The lamp is also compatible with our Focused Idea, again sold separately, should you want more control over how the light falls.

With its pared back form and repeated vertical lines, we think this wall light brings a quiet sense of order to a wall without crowding it. The plated brass and clear glass pairing keeps things bright and open, and the Long proportions make it a natural fit above a console or beside taller furniture where you want the eye to travel upwards. It is made from steel, glass and PMMA so it holds its shape and finish over time, and it sits as easily in a hallway as it does in a living room or bedroom.
