Description
This is a warm white LED GLS bulb with an E27 screw cap, the larger Edison screw found in many table lamps, floor lamps and pendants. It keeps the familiar rounded shape of a traditional household bulb, in clear glass, with slim filaments standing upright inside and a silver-coloured cap at the base. From just 8W it gives 1,055lm of light, which makes it bright enough for a main ceiling light or a reading lamp.
Because the glass is clear, the filaments are on show, so this bulb looks its best where it can be seen: a bare pendant, a cage shade, a glass lampshade or an open wall light. The warm white tone suits the rooms where you want to relax, such as the living room, the bedroom and the dining room, giving an evening glow that feels restful rather than harsh. If you are replacing tired bulbs around the house, the E27 cap fits the many lamps and fittings built for it.
Inside, LED technology does the work, and the bulb carries an Energy Class E rating, so you get plenty of light from very little power. The upright filaments sit on a slim glass stem, and the silver-coloured cap gives a neat finish where the bulb meets the lampholder. To keep it bright, wipe the glass now and then with a soft dry cloth while the light is switched off and cool. Before you order, check that your lamp or fitting takes an E27 cap and that its marked maximum wattage covers 8W.
