The Lascas is a 540mm flush ceiling light with a sculpted white acrylic diffuser built around an integrated 55W LED module. The diffuser surface forms organic contours and angled dips rather than sitting flat, creating shadows and gradients when lit that give the fitting a three-dimensional presence against the ceiling. The LED provides 3800lm output and adjusts between 3000K warm white and 6500K cool white via the included remote control.

Designed for living rooms, bedrooms and home offices where ceiling height or user preference suits a flush-mount rather than a pendant or semi-flush, the Lascas sits 180mm from ceiling to base and covers a fixing point with its 540mm diameter. The remote control adjusts both brightness (dimming from 100% to near-zero) and colour temperature, allowing the fitting to shift from warm ambient evening light to bright task-oriented daylight without touching the ceiling installation. The 3800lm output at 55W covers rooms up to 18-20m² depending on desired brightness levels.

The white acrylic diffuser is matte-finished and relatively thick, diffusing the LED evenly across the sculpted surface without visible hotspots. The contouring on the diffuser catches light at different angles depending on time of day and position in the room, so the fitting looks different from directly below versus from the doorway. How is the colour temperature adjusted?

The included remote control adjusts the LED between 3000K warm white and 6500K cool white. The remote also controls dimming from full brightness to near-zero. No wiring changes or wall switches are needed to change the light temperature.

What size room does it suit?

At 3800lm output, the Lascas covers rooms up to approximately 18-20m² at typical residential brightness levels. For a 4m x 5m living room or bedroom this provides adequate ambient and functional light without needing additional fittings.

Can it be fitted to a standard plasterboard ceiling?

The 2.9kg weight requires fixing to a ceiling joist, a supporting batten between joists, or a mounting block rated for the load. Plasterboard alone will not safely hold the fitting over time. Most standard UK ceiling roses fixed to joists are suitable.

Is the remote control battery-powered?

Yes. The remote typically uses button-cell batteries (CR2032 or similar). The fitting itself is mains-powered at 220-240V and does not require battery backup.
