Description

Larsson Geo is a modern rug with a Scandinavian feel, laid out as a patchwork of large triangles in grey, cream and soft blue. Each triangle carries its own small motif, from rows of short dashes and fine chevrons to tiny triangles and dotted grids, set beside calmer panels with a mottled finish. The Blue / Grey colourway keeps the palette cool and quiet, with deeper grey giving the design its edges. The rug is machine woven from 100% polypropylene, with the outlines of the shapes cut into the pile by hand, so each triangle sits slightly apart from its neighbour.

It suits a living room well, where its mix of grey and blue sits easily with grey upholstery and pale wood floors. We sell it in three rectangular sizes. The 80 by 150cm rug works beside a bed, in front of a fireplace or in a reading corner. The 120 by 170cm size fits in front of a sofa or under a coffee table, and the 160 by 230cm rug is large enough to take the front legs of a sofa and chairs, or to sit beneath a double bed.

This is not a washable rug, so it is not one for the washing machine. The hand-cut outlines are the detail worth weighing up: they give the pattern texture you can feel as well as see, so the shapes stand out in relief. Before choosing a size, measure the floor and mark the outline with tape, leaving a strip of floor showing around the edges.
