Description

The Larkbury pendant hangs a 480mm shade of Tiffany-style leaded glass open side down, so the light falls into the room and the colour reads from below. The overall height adjusts across a wide span, from 410mm to 1400mm, which means the same fitting works low over an island or high in a stairwell. Three E27 lampholders sit inside, each taking an LED bulb of up to 10W, and the pendant weighs 2.5kg. Bulbs are not included, so the warmth of the light is yours to set.

A downward shade puts light where you need it, which makes this ceiling light a practical choice above a dining table, a kitchen island, a hall table or a reading corner. The generous drop range is the real advantage here: very few pendants adjust across a full metre, so this one suits standard modern ceilings and tall Victorian rooms without compromise. The multicoloured glass gives a period room warmth and gives a plainer room its one piece of pattern. It is rated IP20 for dry indoor spaces.

Coloured glass is set into soldered metal seams and carried on a metal frame, so the shade shows as pattern in daylight and as warm colour once the bulbs are on. Dust with a dry soft cloth, lift marks with a barely damp cloth and dry straight away, and keep sprays and abrasive creams away from the seams. The fitting is Class 1 and needs an earthed supply at the ceiling, and it dims with a compatible dimmer switch and dimmable bulbs. A Larkbury semi flush handles lower ceilings and a Larkbury table lamp continues the range at low level.
