Description

This large round house lantern is shaped like a snowy little tower, with a tall conical roof and an LED light inside for a warm winter glow. On the front, children in red, green and lilac winter coats gather at the window of a toy shop, its name, TOY SHOP, set in gold letters above the glass. Behind the panes sit a decorated Christmas tree, a teddy bear, a rocking horse and a yellow hot air balloon, under a snowy evergreen garland. Turn it round and the back shows a red front door with a green wreath, a gold letterbox and an arched fanlight, above snowy steps with potted trees either side. The roof is white with gold tree shapes and tiny snowflakes, and the lantern stands 37.5cm tall and 13.5cm across.

With a scene on the front and another on the back, it looks good from both sides, so it suits a spot people walk past: a hallway table, the middle of a sideboard or a deep windowsill. It sits happily on a mantelpiece among greenery too, or on a sitting room bookshelf where it adds a cosy glow once the curtains are drawn. As an LED lantern it is for dry rooms indoors.
