This large glass candle lantern brings a soft glow to any room, its cream-toned glass casting a warm, diffused light once a candle is lit inside. Standing 44cm tall with a 17cm square footprint, it has real presence on the floor beside a chair, on a hearth or grouped on a wide console. The glass has a gently frosted, milky finish that hides fingerprints and mellows the flame into a comfortable haze rather than a harsh point of light.

We designed this candle holder to sit happily among relaxed, lived-in interiors. Pair it with a chunky church candle or a wide pillar for a generous flame, and set it alongside smaller candle holders to build a layered arrangement of heights. It works just as well outside on a covered patio or sheltered porch on a still evening, and looks considered whether filled or left empty as a sculptural form. The cream shade suits neutral, coastal and country schemes, tempering brighter accents without competing with them.

The glass is easy to keep looking its best. Wipe the outer surface with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth, and clear any melted wax from the base once it has fully cooled and set. Always place it on a level, heat-tolerant surface and never leave a lit candle unattended. Trim wicks to roughly 5mm before each use to keep the flame steady and reduce sooting on the inside of the glass, and let candles cool completely before moving the lantern.
