Description
The Larchdale table lamp is a two light lamp in antique brass, 355mm wide, with a height that adjusts between 350mm and 440mm. Two lamps rather than one give it a broader, softer spread than a single bulb of the same output, which is why it reads as a working lamp as much as a decorative one. It takes two 6W LED E14 bulbs, supplied separately. At 5kg it is properly weighted, so it stays put on a desk or a console without needing to be pushed against a wall.
We would put this on a desk, a library table, a hall console or a wide bedside table, especially where you want light for reading rather than a general glow. The adjustable height means it can be set low over paperwork or raised to clear a stack of books. It is not rated for dimming, so run it from a standard switch and choose bulb output to suit the room. Rated IP20, it is for dry indoor rooms and not for bathrooms.
The body and arms are metal in an antique brass finish, with glass and fabric parts in the build, and the finish is warm and slightly aged rather than bright. It is Class 2, double insulated, so no earth is required. Dust the brass with a dry, soft cloth and leave metal polishes and cream cleaners alone, since they will strip an antique finish. Keep the shade parts dry. The matching Larchdale picture wall light uses the same brass tone if you want the pair working together in one room.
