Description

The Laguna is a modern rug in grey and black, with cream running through it. Broad curving bands sweep from one side to the other like waves, moving from charcoal and black through mid grey to pale grey and cream, so the colours shift gently across the whole rug. It is machine woven in 100% polyester, and the pile is smooth and soft, the kind you notice when you step onto it in bare feet.

We suggest it first for a hallway, and the 60 by 220cm runner is the size for that: long and narrow enough to run the length of a passage and greet you at the front door. It sits just as happily in a living room. The 80 by 150cm size suits a spot beside a chair or in front of a fireplace, while the 120 by 170cm and 160 by 230cm sizes sit in front of or partly under a sofa. The largest, 200 by 290cm, covers a good part of a living room floor.

It is hard wearing, which matters most where it will be walked on every day, such as a hallway or the route through a busy living room. The smooth, soft pile keeps it comfortable underfoot while it takes that traffic.
