Description
The Laguna is a 559mm drum chandelier built around a taupe mica shade with a central band of copper mosaic tiles set between two renaissance copper metal rings. Four E27 bulbs inside the drum diffuse through the translucent mica, while the mosaic band catches and reflects light in warm copper tones. The fitting hangs on an adjustable stem with a maximum drop of 1190mm and a minimum drop of 290mm.
Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands and hallways with ceiling heights between 2.4m and 3.5m, the Laguna sits 700-900mm above a table surface when the stem is adjusted to typical dining height. The four-bulb configuration provides general room lighting across a 3-4m space, with the mica diffusing direct glare while maintaining ambient brightness. The renaissance copper finish is a darker, aged copper tone that pairs with both warm wood interiors and cooler grey-based schemes.
Each mosaic tile in the central band is hand-applied, so the exact pattern and copper tone variation differ slightly between individual fixtures. The mica shade softens the light output and reduces harsh shadows, making the chandelier suitable for rooms where ambient light is preferred over directed task lighting. The combined mica, mosaic and metal construction gives the fitting a total weight appropriate for standard UK ceiling roses rated for pendant lights.
The renaissance copper metalwork develops a natural patina over time in humid or coastal environments, deepening the aged finish. In drier climates the finish remains stable. The mica is a natural mineral sheet and cannot be washed — dust accumulation can be removed with a dry microfibre cloth or a soft brush.

Frequently Asked
What bulbs does it take?
The Laguna takes four E27 (Edison screw) bulbs up to 60W each, sold separately. Most users pair this with 6-10W warm-white LED bulbs at 2700K-3000K for ambient dining light. The mica diffuser works best with frosted or filament-style LED bulbs rather than exposed bright-white LEDs.
What ceiling height is needed?
The 1190mm maximum drop allows the chandelier to be installed in rooms with ceiling heights up to 3.5m. For a standard dining table the fitting typically hangs 700-900mm above the surface, which requires a ceiling height of at least 2.4m. The stem is adjustable on installation to suit the specific room.
Is the mosaic pattern identical on every chandelier?
No. Each mosaic tile band is hand-applied, so the exact placement and copper tone variation differ slightly between individual chandeliers. This is a feature of the hand-crafted construction, not a defect.
How is the mica shade cleaned?
Mica is a natural mineral that cannot be washed with water or cleaning products. Dust can be removed with a dry microfibre cloth or a soft brush. Avoid touching the mica with wet hands or using spray cleaners, as moisture can mark the surface.
