Description

The Labonete is a large LED pendant light made of three open curved bands in gold-coloured aluminium and steel, hung at staggered heights from a round ceiling canopy on fine suspension wires. The bands step down in size towards the bottom, so from below it reads as a loose spiral of light. It measures 80cm across and 180cm tall overall. The LEDs are integrated, running along the underside of each band behind a white plastic diffuser, and together they draw 50W for a rated output of 9,000 lumens. It is rated IP20, which settles where it belongs: indoors, in a dry room.

At 80cm across, this is a gold pendant light for a room with space around it, and we would hang it over a dining table, in a generous living room or above the seating area of an open-plan space. One fitting does the work of a main light, and the remote control in the box means you can set the mood from your chair. Dim it low and choose a warm 2200K for a relaxed supper, or bring it up to a cool 6500K when you want clear, bright light for an evening's reading. We think it suits anyone who wants a single centrepiece that changes with the time of day.

The gold-coloured finish runs across the frame and the canopy, and the white plastic diffuser gives an even line of light along each band.
