Description
The Kyoto is a single pendant light built around two stacked white marble spheres that sit between a white metal canopy above and a clear glass cylinder shade below. A single G9 bulb (sold separately) fits inside the glass cylinder, which directs light downward while the marble spheres act as a visual focal point. The pendant hangs on a slender cable adjustable from 465mm to 3365mm on installation.
Designed for kitchens, dining areas, hallways and bedrooms where focused downward light is needed without a large shade footprint, the Kyoto works above kitchen islands, small dining tables, bedside tables and in narrow hallways where width is restricted. The 100mm diameter keeps the fitting compact, and the adjustable drop allows the pendant to be set higher or lower depending on ceiling height and task requirements. The white metal canopy fits standard UK ceiling roses.
The two white marble spheres differ in texture and veining depending on the section of stone each was cut from, so no two Kyoto pendants look identical. The clear glass cylinder below the marble is smooth and cylindrical, creating a clean modern silhouette while allowing the G9 bulb inside to be visible when lit. The combined marble, glass and metal construction gives the pendant substance without visual weight, and the white-on-white palette pairs with neutral interiors, Scandinavian schemes and contemporary minimalist spaces.

Frequently Asked
What bulb does it take?
The Kyoto takes a single G9 bulb up to 28W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED G9 bulb between 3-5W and 2700K-3000K for ambient downward light.
Does the marble vary between pieces?
Yes. Each of the two marble spheres is cut from natural white marble, so the veining, tonal variation and surface texture differ between individual pieces. This is a characteristic of the natural material.
What ceiling height is needed?
The pendant is adjustable from 465mm to 3365mm drop on installation. For positioning above a kitchen island or dining table, the pendant typically sits 600-800mm above the surface, which works in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above. Lower ceilings can still accommodate the Kyoto if the cable is shortened during fitting.
Can it be used in a bathroom?
No. The IP20 rating means the Kyoto is suitable for dry indoor locations only. It cannot be used in bathrooms, wet rooms or outdoor areas where moisture is present.
