The Kyoto is a single pendant light built around a grey marble base suspended below a brushed gold ceiling canopy. A narrow cylindrical stem in matching gold connects the marble element to a frosted glass tube diffuser below, housing a single G9 bulb rated at 28W. The marble base sits mid-way down the drop, acting as both a decorative accent and a transition point between the ceiling hardware and the glass light source.

Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands and breakfast bars where a single pendant provides focused downlight, the Kyoto's adjustable drop ranges from 46.5cm to 336.5cm, allowing it to be set at the correct height above a worktop or table regardless of ceiling height. The 10cm diameter glass diffuser keeps the footprint compact, making it suitable for narrow counters and two-seater dining tables. The IP20 rating limits the fitting to dry interior rooms only.

The grey marble base adds weight and material contrast to an otherwise minimalist pendant form. The Kyoto takes a single G9 capsule bulb rated up to 28W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED G9 bulb between 2-4W and 2700K-3000K for dining and kitchen island use.

What height above a table should it hang?

For dining tables and kitchen islands, position the bottom of the glass diffuser 70-80cm above the table or worktop surface. This provides sufficient task light without the fitting obstructing sightlines across the table. The adjustable drop accommodates ceiling heights from 2.4m to 4m.

Does the marble vary between pieces?

Yes. Each marble base is cut from natural grey marble, so veining, tonal variation and the distribution of darker and lighter areas differ between individual pendants. This is a feature of the natural material, not a defect.

Can it be used in bathrooms?

No. The IP20 rating means the fitting is suitable for dry interior rooms only and should not be installed in bathrooms, outdoor locations or anywhere exposed to moisture.
