Kromo 1 Light Pendant Light - Polished Chrome

The Kromo is a single-pendant light built around a multifaceted optical glass block suspended within a polished chrome eye-shaped frame. A single G9 bulb fitting sits at the centre of the glass, casting light through the carved facets that refract and multiply the beam into a spectrum of reflections across the surrounding surfaces.

Designed for installation over kitchen islands, dining tables, bar counters and reception desks where directed downlight is needed alongside decorative effect, the Kromo's 240mm width and adjustable 180-2000mm drop suit ceiling heights from 2.4m up to double-height spaces. The polished chrome frame provides structural support and visual balance against the weight of the glass block, while the clear glass allows maximum light transmission with minimal colour shift.

The optical glass is precision-cut with multiple flat facets across its curved surface, turning each facet into a separate light source when the bulb is lit. This creates a prismatic effect across walls and ceilings, with the intensity and pattern dependent on the wattage and colour temperature of the G9 bulb chosen. The fitting weighs 1.3kg once installed and requires a ceiling rose capable of supporting that load. Dimmer compatibility depends on the specific G9 bulb used — LED G9 bulbs rated as dimmable will allow brightness adjustment via a compatible dimmer switch.

What bulb does the Kromo take?

The fitting takes a single G9 capsule bulb, sold separately. Most users pair this with a G9 LED between 3-5W and 2700K-3000K for warm light, or 4000K for neutral white. The G9 fitting is compact and sits within the glass block, so the bulb itself is visible through the faceted glass.

Is the Kromo dimmable?

Dimming capability depends on the bulb. If you fit a G9 LED rated as dimmable and pair it with a compatible LED dimmer switch, the Kromo can be dimmed. Non-dimmable G9 bulbs will not dim and may flicker or fail if used with a dimmer.

What drop height works best?

The 180-2000mm adjustable drop allows the pendant to be set at different heights depending on ceiling height and application. Over a dining table or kitchen island, 700-900mm above the surface is typical. In double-height spaces or over a bar counter, the pendant can be dropped lower to bring the light source closer to the work surface.

How is the glass cleaned?

The optical glass can be wiped with a soft microfibre cloth and a small amount of glass cleaner or distilled water. Avoid abrasive cloths or harsh chemical cleaners that could scratch the polished facets. Clean with the bulb switched off and cool.
