Description

The Kos is a 450mm crystal table lamp built around a tapered cylindrical frame densely covered in precision-cut octagon crystals, with a polished chrome base and crown. Three G9 bulb fittings sit inside the crystal body, casting light through the faceted surfaces to create refracted patterns on nearby walls and ceilings. The lamp is 190mm in diameter at the widest point and weighs 2.5kg on account of the crystal and metal construction.

Designed for side tables, console units, and bedroom nightstands where decorative lighting is needed within a compact footprint, the Kos works as a single accent piece or in mirrored pairs flanking a bed or console. The slim profile keeps the lamp from dominating a surface while the crystal detailing gives it presence when lit. The polished chrome finish pairs with both contemporary interiors and traditional schemes where metallic accents are already present.

Each octagon crystal is individually mounted on the frame, creating a continuous beaded surface that catches and redirects light. The G9 fittings accept halogen or LED capsule bulbs up to 33W each (sold separately), and the lamp is dimmable when paired with suitable G9 dimmable bulbs and a compatible dimmer switch. The inline cable switch allows the lamp to be turned on without reaching behind furniture.

The lamp takes three G9 capsule bulbs up to 33W each. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with G9 LED capsules between 3-5W and 2700K-3000K for warm ambient light. Halogen G9 bulbs are also compatible but run hotter and consume more power.

Is the lamp dimmable?

Yes, provided you fit dimmable G9 bulbs and connect the lamp to a compatible dimmer switch. Not all G9 LED bulbs are dimmable, so check the bulb specification before purchasing.

How stable is it on a nightstand?

The 190mm diameter base and 2.5kg weight give the Kos good stability on flat surfaces. The base is polished chrome which may leave light scratch marks on lacquered or glass surfaces if moved frequently — a felt pad under the base prevents this.

How is the crystal cleaned?

Switch the lamp off and allow it to cool. Wipe each crystal facet gently with a dry microfibre cloth to remove dust. For more stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but avoid soaking the crystals or using household sprays which can leave residue on the facets.
