At 33cm wide and 26cm tall, with a depth of 20.7cm, our Komorebi Rectangular Lampshade in Medium suits a table lamp base or hangs neatly as a pendant shade in a hallway, bedside nook or reading corner. This size sits comfortably in smaller and medium rooms, where a wider shade would crowd the space. It weighs 950g, so it stays manageable on a slender base and undemanding on a pendant flex. If you need a broader footprint, the range also runs to a Large, but this page is for the Medium alone.

The form is what gives this shade its name. Rows of parallel vertical wooden dowels stand in a rectangular arrangement, and as the light passes between them it breaks into soft stripes across the walls and ceiling, the dappled effect that Komorebi refers to. It is made from solid oak and polyester, and this one comes in our warm, pale Oak finish, the lighter of the two tones we offer across the range. Because the shade is open rather than solid or round, we recommend a warmer LED to keep the glow gentle through the gaps. The natural grain means each shade carries a slightly different pattern, so no two are quite alike.

It takes an E27 fitting and works as both a pendant and a table lampshade, so you can move it between rooms as your needs change. We suggest a maximum 15W LED, which is not included, and a warm colour temperature around 2700K reads best against the oak.
