Description

Made from solid oak and polyester, our Komorebi Rectangular Lampshade Large brings a run of parallel vertical wooden dowels together in a rectangular arrangement. It is an open shade rather than a solid one, so light passes between the dowels and casts soft striped patterns across a wall or table. The name Komorebi refers to the way sunlight filters through leaves, and we chose it because this piece does something similar with your bulb. The warm Oak finish keeps the wood tone natural and easy to place, whether your room leans towards pale Scandinavian schemes or something a little richer.

This lampshade works two ways, so you can fit it as a pendant overhead or set it onto a table lamp base. It is compatible with E27 fittings, and we recommend a maximum 15W LED bulb, which is not included so you can pick the colour temperature you prefer. A warmer bulb around 2700K plays nicely with the honeyed oak, while a cooler tone sharpens the shadow lines the dowels create. In the Large size it measures 26cm in height, 50.6cm in width and 31.1cm in depth, and it weighs 1.6kg, which gives it enough presence for a larger surface or a wider space above a dining table without crowding the room.
