Description

The Kob is a slim under cabinet light in satin nickel: a steel bar 60cm long, 7cm wide and only 2.5cm high, set with three round spotlights and a rocker switch at one end. Each spotlight holds an integrated 2.3W LED giving 280lm, and all three shine at 3000K, a warm light that keeps a kitchen feeling welcoming in the evening. It is rated IP20, which settles where it belongs: indoors, somewhere dry and clear of splashing water.

Fitted beneath a wall cabinet, it puts light straight onto the worktop, exactly where a ceiling light leaves you working in your own shadow. Chopping, weighing and reading a recipe all become easier, and the shallow 2.5cm profile keeps the bar discreet under the cabinet edge. We think it suits a kitchen most of all, though it works just as well under a bookshelf in a study or inside a display cabinet, where a row of three pools of light picks out the pieces you want noticed.
