The Knot is a 76cm sculptural LED suspension light built from three interlocking tubular arms in gloss white polycarbonate and fibreglass, finished with polished chrome details on the circular ceiling canopy. Designed by Santiago Sevillano for Mantra, the three arms loop through a central node in a continuous flowing form, each arm housing an integrated LED strip that delivers a combined 3600lm at 3000K warm white.

Designed for dining areas, open-plan living spaces and double-height entrance halls with ceiling heights of 2.4m or higher, the Knot provides both ambient and sculptural presence. The adjustable drop ranges from 250mm minimum to 1500mm maximum on installation, allowing the fitting to be set 700-900mm above a dining table or positioned as a statement piece in taller voids. The polished chrome canopy fits standard UK ceiling roses and the suspension cables conceal the power feed.

Each of the three arms measures approximately 760mm across at the widest point of the loop, creating a dynamic asymmetric composition that reads differently depending on viewing angle. The gloss white finish on the polycarbonate reflects ambient room light and provides a clean surface for the internal LED wash to illuminate from within. The chrome accents on the canopy and suspension points add metallic contrast without overwhelming the white body. The entire fitting weighs 3.6kg, giving it a substantial feel once installed but remaining within safe ceiling-mounting limits for standard plasterboard ceilings with proper fixings.

What ceiling height is needed?

How is the drop length adjusted?
