Knot 76cm LED Pendant Light - Gloss White & Polished Chrome

The Knot is a 76cm sculptural LED pendant light built from three interlocking tubular arms in gloss white polycarbonate and fibreglass, finished with polished chrome details on the circular ceiling canopy. Designed by Santiago Sevillano, the three arms loop through a central node in a continuous flowing form, each arm housing an integrated LED strip that delivers a combined 3600lm at 3000K warm white.

Designed for dining areas, open-plan living spaces and double-height entrance halls with ceiling heights of 2.4m or higher, the Knot provides both ambient and sculptural presence. The adjustable drop ranges from 250mm minimum to 1500mm maximum on installation, allowing the fitting to be set 700-900mm above a dining table or positioned as a focal piece in taller voids. The polished chrome canopy fits standard UK ceiling roses and the suspension cables conceal the power feed.

Each of the three arms measures approximately 760mm across at the widest point of the loop, creating a dynamic asymmetric composition that reads differently depending on viewing angle. The gloss white finish on the polycarbonate reflects ambient room light and provides a clean surface for the internal LED wash to illuminate from within. The chrome accents on the canopy and suspension points add metallic contrast without overwhelming the white body. The entire fitting weighs 3.6kg, giving it a substantial feel once installed but remaining within safe ceiling-mounting limits for standard plasterboard ceilings with proper fixings.

The integrated LEDs are non-dimmable and rated at 36W total power consumption, delivering approximately 100lm per watt efficiency typical of modern LED pendant fittings. The warm white 3000K colour temperature pairs comfortably with both warm-toned and neutral contemporary interiors, avoiding the clinical feel of cooler 4000K+ colour temperatures.

Is the Knot dimmable?

No. The integrated LEDs are non-dimmable and operate at fixed brightness when powered on. The fitting requires a standard switched circuit without dimming control.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 250mm-1500mm adjustable drop works in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above. For dining table pendant light the fitting typically hangs 700-900mm above the surface, requiring at least 2.5m ceiling height to avoid head clearance issues when standing.

How is the drop length adjusted?

The suspension cables can be shortened during installation by feeding excess cable into the ceiling canopy before fixing. The minimum drop of 250mm is the shortest safe pendant light distance; the maximum of 1500mm allows use in double-height spaces.

How is the polycarbonate surface cleaned?

Wipe the gloss white arms with a soft microfibre cloth, barely dampened with water if needed. Avoid abrasive cloths, chemical sprays or solvents which can dull the gloss finish. The polished chrome canopy can be cleaned with standard chrome cleaner or a damp cloth.
