Description
The Knightsbridge Torlan is a 1263mm LED batten with integrated microwave sensor, built from anti-corrosive polycarbonate with an IP65 weatherproof rating and IK08 impact resistance. The fitting houses internal switches that allow the installer to select between three colour temperatures (3000K, 4000K, 5700K) and two wattages (19W or 37W), adjusting the light output and tone to suit the application without stocking multiple SKUs.
Designed for commercial, industrial and outdoor environments where resistance to moisture, dust and impact is required, the Torlan suits carparks, warehouses, loading bays, covered walkways, agricultural buildings and plant rooms. The microwave sensor detects movement through the opal polycarbonate diffuser and switches the light on automatically, with adjustable sensitivity and hold-time settings configured via internal controls. The 115° beam angle provides wide coverage from a ceiling or wall-mounted position.
The polycarbonate body resists corrosion in damp and coastal environments, and the stainless steel diffuser clips ensure the opal lens stays securely fastened under vibration or impact. At 19W the batten outputs 3,015 lumens at 4000K (159 lm/W), suitable for circulation routes and background lighting. At 37W it outputs 5,550 lumens at 4000K (150 lm/W), sufficient for task lighting in workspaces and loading areas. The constant-current LED driver is built into the grey polycarbonate housing and the fitting can be surface-mounted directly to ceilings or walls, or suspension-mounted using an optional accessory.

Product Specification Sheet
Frequently Asked
How do I change the wattage and colour temperature?
The Torlan has internal DIP switches accessible by removing the diffuser. One set of switches selects between 19W and 37W output, another selects between 3000K, 4000K and 5700K. Refer to the Product Specification Sheet for the switch configuration diagram.
How does the microwave sensor work?
The integrated microwave sensor detects movement through the polycarbonate diffuser and automatically switches the light on when motion is detected. Sensitivity and hold-time (how long the light stays on after motion stops) are adjustable via internal controls. The sensor works in any lighting condition, unlike PIR sensors which can be affected by heat and light levels.
Can it be mounted outdoors?
Yes. The IP65 rating protects the internal components from dust and water jets, and the IK08 rating provides resistance to impacts up to 5 joules. The polycarbonate body resists corrosion in damp and coastal environments. Suitable for covered outdoor areas such as loading bays, walkways and carparks.
What's the L70B50 rating mean?
L70B50 at 60,000 hours means that after 60,000 hours of operation, 50% of the LEDs will still be producing at least 70% of their initial light output. This is a measure of LED longevity and indicates approximately 6.8 years of continuous use before any noticeable dimming occurs.
