Description

The Knightsbridge SFRLAT is a wall-mounted LED reading light with a 372mm flexible arm, an integrated 2W 3000K LED, and two USB-A charging ports built into an 87.5mm square anthracite screwless faceplate. The LED head unit houses a touch-sensitive on/off and dimming control, allowing brightness adjustment without reaching back to the wall plate.

Designed for bedside reading, hotel headboards, and study desk installations, the light mounts to a standard UK back box (25-35mm depth depending on wiring) and the screwless cover plate clips onto a separate sub-frame, leaving no visible fixings on the wall. The 372mm arm flexes to direct the 55-lumen output to a reading position, book surface, or laptop keyboard without spill light affecting a sleeping partner or adjacent work area.

The anthracite finish is a dark grey-black powder-coated steel that pairs with contemporary and industrial interiors. The dual USB-A ports share a 5V DC 2.4A output, suitable for overnight phone and tablet charging. The 3000K warm-white LED provides focused task light rather than ambient room illumination, and the touch dimmer on the head unit allows the output to be reduced for late-night reading without disturbing others.

The IP20 rating limits the fitting to dry indoor locations — it is not suitable for bathrooms, en-suites, or outdoor use. The 30,000-hour L70B50 rating indicates that after 30,000 hours of operation, 50% of LEDs will have degraded to 70% of initial output, making replacement viable after approximately 10 years of nightly use.

Is the LED dimmable?

The LED has touch-sensitive dimming controls built into the head unit, allowing brightness adjustment by tapping the control pad on the lamp head itself. The specification table lists "Dimmable: No" because it is not compatible with external wall dimmer switches — the dimming function is internal to the fitting only.

What back box depth is required?

A 25-35mm back box depth is needed depending on wiring conditions. The screwless cover plate adds approximately 20mm projection from the wall before the flexible arm begins.

What is the USB charging output?

The dual USB-A ports share a 5V DC 2.4A output between them, suitable for charging phones and tablets overnight. This is not a fast-charge output — charging speed will be slower than modern USB-C PD chargers.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

No. The IP20 rating means the fitting is not protected against moisture ingress and must only be installed in dry indoor locations. It is not suitable for bathrooms, en-suites, or outdoor use.
