Description

The Knightsbridge T8LB16 is a 1790mm single-tube LED-ready batten fitting in white-finished pressed steel. The fitting is pre-wired for self-ballasted T8 LED tubes and is supplied without a ballast or driver, meaning it is designed specifically for LED tubes that carry their own internal driver and cannot be used with traditional fluorescent tubes.

Designed for garages, workshops, storage rooms, commercial stockrooms and utility spaces where functional overhead lighting is needed, the batten fits flush to the ceiling or can be wall-mounted. The 63mm width and 80mm projection from the mounting surface make it suitable for low-clearance spaces where deeper fittings would not fit. The IP20 rating limits use to dry indoor environments only.

The white pressed-steel body provides a clean finish that blends into ceiling lines in painted interiors. The batten accepts a single T8 LED tube up to 1778mm in length (sold separately), and the dimmability of the installed fitting depends on whether the LED tube itself supports dimming. The Class I construction requires an earth connection during installation.

No. The T8LB16 is supplied as a batten fitting only. You will need to purchase a self-ballasted T8 LED tube separately. The tube length should be 1778mm (6ft) to fit this batten.

Can I use fluorescent tubes with this batten?

No. This batten is supplied without a ballast or driver, so it cannot power traditional fluorescent tubes. It is pre-wired specifically for self-ballasted T8 LED tubes that carry their own internal driver.

Is this batten dimmable?

Dimmability depends on the LED tube you install. If you choose a dimmable T8 LED tube and pair it with a compatible dimmer switch, the fitting will dim. If you use a non-dimmable tube, the fitting will not dim.

Where can this batten be installed?

The IP20 rating limits use to dry indoor environments only. Suitable for garages, workshops, storage rooms, utility spaces and commercial stockrooms. Not suitable for bathrooms, outdoor areas or anywhere exposed to moisture.
