Description

The Knightsbridge 50W RGB LED floodlight delivers 2050 lumens across 16 selectable colours, controlled by an infrared remote handset. The fitting houses integrated RGB LED chips behind a clear glass lens in a die-cast aluminium body finished in matt black. IP65 ingress protection seals the electronics against rain and dust, making the floodlight suitable for year-round exterior mounting on walls, soffits and ground spikes.

Designed for patios, driveways, garden walls and architectural uplighting, the floodlight provides both functional illumination and colour-change decorative effects. The infrared remote cycles through static colours (red, green, blue, white, cyan, magenta, yellow, plus nine intermediate shades) and four dynamic modes (flash, strobe, fade, smooth). A memory function retains the last selected colour or mode after mains power is cut and restored, so the floodlight resumes the same setting without reprogramming.

The 249mm-wide by 219mm-tall housing projects 32mm from the mounting surface and weighs approximately 1.2kg. The rear bracket allows wall mounting with the beam aimed horizontally across a wall face, angled downward for driveway or patio wash, or aimed upward for tree canopy or building facade uplighting. The black finish recedes visually once installed and blends into most exterior colour schemes after dark.

The floodlight provides 16 colours: primary RGB (red, green, blue), white, secondary colours (cyan, magenta, yellow), nine intermediate shades, and four dynamic modes (flash, strobe, fade, smooth). All selections are made via the infrared remote handset included in the box. The remote requires a clear line of sight to the sensor on the floodlight housing.

Does it remember the last colour setting after being switched off?

Yes. The memory function retains the last selected colour or dynamic mode when mains power is cut. When power is restored the floodlight resumes the same setting without needing to reprogram via the remote.

Can it be used in permanent outdoor installation?

Yes. The IP65 ingress protection rating means the housing is sealed against rain, snow and dust. The floodlight is designed for year-round exterior mounting on walls, soffits, or ground spikes. Ensure the cable entry gland is correctly sealed during installation to maintain the IP rating.

What wiring is required?

The floodlight operates on 230V 50Hz mains and is Class I (requires earthing). It should be wired by a qualified electrician into a permanent outdoor lighting circuit with appropriate circuit protection. An outdoor-rated junction box or wall-mounted isolator switch is recommended upstream of the floodlight for maintenance access.
