Description

The Kitesurf Loop is an 800mm linear LED suspension light combining a horizontal bar with a circular loop, both enclosed in a frosted white diffuser. The integrated LED system delivers 2400 lumens at 3000K warm white across a 120° beam angle, with dimming capability via a compatible wall dimmer (sold separately). The white powder-coated metal frame and frosted acrylic diffuser create an even, glareless light distribution along the full 800mm length.

Designed for kitchen islands, dining tables and open-plan spaces where the fixture sits as both task and ambient lighting, the Kitesurf Loop pairs a sculptural profile with functional output. The 1500mm maximum drop is adjustable on installation down to 330mm minimum, allowing the light to be positioned 700-900mm above a worktop or table surface depending on ceiling height. The circular loop sits offset from the horizontal bar, breaking the linearity and creating visual interest when viewed from different angles.

The frosted white diffuser softens the LED strip inside and eliminates visible LED dots, presenting as a continuous glowing surface rather than individual points of light. The 30W power draw provides the same output as approximately 150W of halogen while running cooler and requiring no bulb replacement. The fixture weighs 1kg and fits standard UK ceiling roses, with the twin suspension cables and electrical feed running through the rectangular ceiling plate.

The Kitesurf Loop requires a trailing-edge (electronic) dimmer rated for LED loads. Standard rotary or push dimmers designed for incandescent bulbs will not work reliably with this integrated LED and may cause flickering or limited dimming range.

What length kitchen island does this suit?

The 800mm length works over kitchen islands or dining tables between 1200-1600mm long. For longer islands, consider pairing two Kitesurf Loop pendants spaced evenly along the length rather than using a single central fitting.

Can the drop height be adjusted after installation?

The drop is set during installation by cutting the suspension cables to the required length between 330mm and 1500mm. Once fitted, the height cannot be easily adjusted without re-installing the cables.

Is the LED replaceable?

No. The LED is integrated into the diffuser assembly and is not user-replaceable. The LED is rated for approximately 25,000 hours of operation, which equates to around 10-15 years of typical domestic use at 4-6 hours per day.
