Description

The Kimitsu is a tall, egg-shaped candle holder in a gold finish, its aluminium body worked into an open lattice of branching, coral-like strands around a clear glass cylinder. It stands 47.5cm tall and measures 25.5cm in diameter, resting on a plain round base. Broad bands of metal sweep diagonally across the surface, so the pattern looks different from every side. As a piece of decor it belongs indoors, where the gold catches daylight and the glass cylinder gives a candle somewhere to sit whenever you want a warmer glow in the evening.

We would place it on a sideboard, a mantelpiece, a hallway console or the middle of a dining table, anywhere a tall, open shape can be seen from more than one angle.
