Description

The Khalifa is a 5-light LED cluster pendant with five spherical glass shades arranged in a staggered cascade, each combining a polished chrome band with crystal-cut glass panels top and bottom. Each sphere houses an integrated LED module delivering 3000K warm white light, with the combined output reaching 5400 lumens from 30W power consumption. The five pendants hang on clear adjustable cables from a 550mm diameter polished chrome ceiling plate.

Designed for dining rooms, living areas and double-height entrance halls with ceiling heights of 2.7m or above, the Khalifa provides both ambient and decorative function. The minimum drop of 300mm allows the cluster to sit close to the ceiling where headroom is limited, while the maximum 1500mm drop suits high ceilings and stairwells. The cables are independently adjustable during installation, allowing the five spheres to be set at different heights to create a cascading effect or aligned at a single level depending on the space.

Each glass sphere is built in two halves, crystal-faceted glass top and bottom, separated by a polished chrome band that houses the LED module. When lit, the faceted crystal scatters the warm LED light into prismatic highlights across the surface, while the chrome band reflects light back into the room. The polished chrome finish on both the ceiling plate and the sphere bands gives high reflectivity, pairing with both cool-toned and warm-toned contemporary interiors. At 11.3kg the fitting requires secure ceiling fixing into a joist or RSJ rather than plasterboard alone.

The Khalifa is part of the Spanish-designed collection and carries a 3-year manufacturer warranty. The integrated LEDs are not user-replaceable, so the 30W 5400lm output is fixed for the life of the fitting. The pendant is not dimmable and operates on 100-240V mains voltage without requiring a separate driver or transformer.

Is the Khalifa dimmable?

No. The integrated LEDs operate at a fixed 30W output delivering 5400 lumens at 3000K. The fitting is not compatible with dimmer switches.

Can the drop heights be adjusted after installation?

The five cables are independently adjustable during installation, allowing each sphere to be set at a different height. Once set and the ceiling plate is fixed, further adjustment requires removing the plate and re-threading the cables.

What ceiling height is needed?

The minimum 300mm drop suits ceilings from 2.4m upward where the cluster will sit relatively high. The maximum 1500mm drop works best with ceiling heights of 3.5m or above, allowing the pendants to cascade without hanging too low over a dining table or seating area.

What fixing is required for the 11.3kg weight?

The ceiling plate must be fixed into a ceiling joist, RSJ or solid concrete ceiling. Standard plasterboard fixings are not suitable for this weight. If your ceiling is plasterboard over timber joists, locate the joist and fix the plate directly into the timber with appropriate wood screws.
