Description

The Kerry is a 510mm tall outdoor chain lantern in black polymer with four clear polycarbonate panels and a single E27 bulb fitting. The lantern hangs on a 310mm chain (adjustable on installation between 625mm and 730mm total drop from ceiling to base) and carries an IP44 rating for protection against solid objects over 1mm and water splashes from any direction.

Designed for covered outdoor areas such as porches, pergolas, verandas and gazebos where the fitting is sheltered from direct rain but exposed to damp conditions, the Kerry provides downward and outward light through four tapered polycarbonate panels set in a traditional coach lantern silhouette. The 205mm width and four-sided glazing give horizontal light spread across doorways and seating areas without relying on wall reflection.

The black polymer construction resists corrosion from salt air and moisture better than painted metal finishes, making the Kerry suitable for coastal properties and areas with high humidity. The polycarbonate panels are impact-resistant and lighter than glass, reducing stress on the chain mount. The lantern accepts any standard E27 LED, halogen or filament bulb up to 60W (sold separately), allowing choice of light temperature and brightness to suit the setting.

Is the chain length adjustable?

Yes. The 310mm chain can be shortened during installation, allowing the total drop from ceiling to lantern base to be set anywhere between 625mm and 730mm depending on porch height and visual preference.
