Description

The Kermora is an LED panel light for the ceiling, built as two square frames that interlock at an angle and fix to a compact square base. The body is black steel and each frame carries a white plastic diffuser, so the lit edges read as clean bands of light inside a crisp black outline. It measures 52.5cm long, 31cm wide and 7cm high, which keeps it close to the ceiling rather than hanging into the room. The LEDs are integrated, with two 11W light sources giving 1,380 lumens each in a warm white of 3000K. It is rated IP20, which settles where it goes: indoors, in dry rooms.

Because it keeps close to the ceiling and spreads its light across two frames, it suits rooms with lower ceilings where a pendant would hang too low, such as a hallway, a landing, a bedroom or a living room. Warm white at 3000K is a gentle, homely tone for the rooms where people relax, and with 1,380 lumens from each of its two lights, one fitting gives a room good general light. The geometric shape gives a plain ceiling some interest even when unlit, and the black and white pairing sits comfortably with monochrome, grey and neutral schemes.

There are no settings to manage. It is not dimmable and has no switch of its own, so you control it from the wall switch like any ordinary ceiling light, and it comes on at full brightness each time. It runs on 220-240V mains and carries an energy class of E. As a wired-in mains light it should be installed by a qualified electrician, and the installation instructions are available as a download.
