Description

The Kenzo is a 1.6m crystal floor lamp built around six floral-inspired branch heads rising from a circular French gold base. Each branch terminates in a petal-shaped frame set with tiny Asfour crystal beads along its edges, with larger teardrop-shaped crystal pendalogues suspended beneath. The six G4 capsule bulbs sit inside the petal frames, casting light through the crystal arrays. The bulbs are included and dimmable when paired with a compatible trailing-edge or low-voltage dimmer.

Designed for living rooms, hotel lobbies, and larger bedrooms where both ambient and decorative lighting is needed, the Kenzo delivers diffused sparkle rather than focused task light. The 500mm diameter canopy at the top gives the lamp a substantial presence without requiring wall clearance, making it suitable for corners, alcoves, or flanking seating areas. The French gold finish on the metalwork provides a warmer tone than polished brass, sitting between antique brass and bright gold in reflectivity.

The crystal used is Asfour Egyptian crystal, cut to catch and refract light at multiple angles. Each of the six branch heads holds approximately 40-50 small beads along the petal edges, plus 3-4 larger pendalogues hanging beneath, giving a total crystal count in the region of 300-350 individual pieces. The combined weight of the metal frame and crystal assembly is 9.7kg, distributed across the circular base which measures approximately 350mm in diameter. The lamp ships with the branches detached and requires assembly on installation — expect 20-30 minutes to attach the six heads and position the crystals.

The G4 capsule bulbs operate on 12V via an integrated transformer hidden in the base, supplied from 220-240V mains. The specification states 'Not LED/CFL Compatible', which refers to older restrictions on some Diyas fittings — however, modern G4 LED capsules rated for 12V AC transformers will work in this fitting. Halogen G4 capsules at 20W each remain the default option for maximum brightness and dimming range.

Are the bulbs included?

Yes. The Kenzo ships with six G4 20W halogen capsule bulbs pre-installed. Replacements are widely available and modern 12V AC-compatible G4 LED capsules will also work despite the specification note stating 'Not LED/CFL Compatible', which refers to older transformer limitations that have since been resolved.

Does it require assembly?

Yes. The six branch heads detach for shipping and need to be screwed onto the central column on installation. The crystal beads and pendalogues are already attached to the branches. Assembly typically takes 20-30 minutes and requires a stepladder to reach the upper branches safely.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, when used with dimmable G4 bulbs and a compatible dimmer. The integrated 12V transformer will work with trailing-edge or low-voltage dimmers designed for halogen or LED loads. Standard rotary dimmers may cause buzzing or flicker.

How is the crystal cleaned?

Switch off and allow bulbs to cool. Wipe each crystal piece with a dry microfibre cloth. For more stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water works, but avoid soaking the metal fittings or getting water inside the bulb holders. Do not use chemical sprays or polishes on the crystal.
