Description

The Kelverton large pendant carries a 450mm shade of Tiffany-style leaded glass, cut piece by piece in a multicoloured pattern and joined with soldered seams over a metal frame. The drop adjusts between 410mm and 1400mm as the ceiling light is installed, which covers a low cottage ceiling and a taller hallway alike. It runs on a single E27 bulb, and a 10W LED gives the output the fitting is designed around, so running costs stay modest for a shade of this width. Bulbs are supplied separately, and the fitting is dimmable with a dimmable LED and a compatible dimmer.

At 2.1kg the Kelverton is light for its size, which makes it an easy swap for a tired pendant on an existing rose. It hangs well over a small dining table, in a hallway, above a stairwell or in a bedroom where a single shade gives more character than a plain drum. Leaded glass of this kind belongs in period rooms, but the multicoloured pattern also does useful work in a plain modern flat, where it becomes the one warm, coloured thing in the room. It is IP20 rated for dry indoor use.

The shade is soldered leaded glass on a metal frame and the fitting is wired as Class 1, so it needs an earth and a qualified electrician.
