Description
The Kelverton semi flush is the shallowest ceiling light in this part of the range, projecting only 180mm below the ceiling while still measuring 450mm across. That combination of width and shallow depth is unusual and genuinely useful in rooms with very little height to give away. Three E27 lampholders sit inside the shade, each taking an LED bulb of up to 10W, and the fitting weighs just 2.1kg. Bulbs are not included, so the warmth of the light is your choice.
With 180mm of projection this is close to a flush mount in practice, which makes it the answer in cottages with beamed ceilings, dormer bedrooms, attic conversions and hallways where anything deeper would be caught by a passing shoulder. The 450mm width means it still lights a decent sized room rather than acting as a token fitting. The multicoloured leaded glass reads as warm and traditional against period plaster and holds its own in a plainer modern room. It is rated IP20 for dry indoor use.
Small pieces of coloured glass are set into soldered metal seams on a metal frame, so the shade shows as pattern by day and warm colour once lit. Dust with a dry soft cloth, wipe marks with a barely damp cloth and dry immediately, and keep sprays and abrasive creams away from the seams and metalwork. The fitting is Class 1 and needs an earthed supply, and it dims with a compatible dimmer switch and dimmable bulbs. If your ceiling allows more, the Kelverton large inverted pendant is the fuller version of the same range.

Frequently Asked
How much clearance does it need?
Just 180mm below the ceiling, across a 450mm width, so it works where deeper fittings will not.
What is the shade made from?
Small pieces of coloured glass set into soldered metal seams on a metal frame, in the Tiffany-style leaded manner.
How do I clean it?
Dust with a dry soft cloth, then wipe marks with a barely damp cloth and dry at once. Avoid sprays and abrasives.
Which bulbs does it take?
Three E27 screw-cap bulbs of up to 10W each in LED. Bulbs are bought separately.
Is it suitable for a beamed cottage ceiling?
The shallow 180mm depth makes it one of the better options for low and beamed ceilings.
Can it be dimmed?
Yes, with a compatible dimmer switch and dimmable bulbs.
