Description
The Kashmar Washable is a traditional vintage rug in rich red and deep blue. At its heart sits a stepped central medallion in red and navy, set about with small floral and geometric motifs, and around it runs a wide red border of repeating medallions picked out in orange, sky blue and cream. The colours carry a softly faded, vintage look, as though the rug has been loved for years. It is digitally printed, and made from 100% polyester.
We think it is happiest in a living room or a bedroom. The 125 by 170cm size sits neatly in front of a sofa or at the foot of a bed, while the 152 by 230cm and 190 by 290cm sizes are large enough to go under a sofa and coffee table, or under a bed with the border framing it. The 60 by 230cm runner fits along the side of a bed. Its warm reds sit comfortably on pale floors and against neutral walls, and the blues give it depth.
It is washable, which makes it a practical choice for a busy household. It is anti slip as well, so it is made to stay where you lay it on a hard floor rather than creeping out of place. Before you order, measure your space and allow a little bare floor around the edges for the most balanced look.
