Description

The Jupiter is a 30cm circular LED wall light split horizontally into two halves: a brushed brass lower section and a white matte acrylic upper section that acts as the light diffuser. An integrated 6W LED strip sits behind the acrylic, casting warm 3000K light upward and outward across the wall surface. The fitting projects just 3cm from the wall when mounted.

Designed for ambient and decorative wall washing in bedrooms, hallways, living rooms and staircases, the Jupiter provides low-glare upward light rather than focused task illumination. The circular form and horizontal division give the fitting a geometric, mid-century quality that works in both contemporary and classical interiors. The IP20 rating limits use to dry indoor locations, not bathrooms or outdoor applications.

No. The 6W LED is integrated into the fitting and not user-replaceable. The LED is rated for 25,000-30,000 hours typical lifespan, equivalent to approximately 10-15 years of domestic use at 5-6 hours per day.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

No. The IP20 rating means the fitting has no moisture protection and is suitable only for dry indoor locations. Bathrooms require a minimum IP44 rating.

Does it cast light downward or upward?

The light casts primarily upward through the white acrylic diffuser, creating a wash of ambient light across the wall and ceiling above the fitting. Some light also reflects off the wall below due to the 3cm projection, but the primary effect is upward.

What height works best for installation?

Typical installation is 1.5-2m above floor level to maximise wall-washing effect without the fitting appearing too high or too low. In hallways and staircases multiple Jupiter fittings are often spaced 2-3m apart at consistent height.
