Description

The Joressa is a two-tier chandelier pendant built on a steel frame in a bright chrome finish, with twisted clear glass arms, candle-style cups and strings of clear hanging drops looped between them. It hangs on a chrome chain from a round ceiling plate and measures 150cm tall overall and 100cm in diameter, so it is a large light made to fill the space above a table or the centre of a generous room. It takes twelve E14 bulbs, each up to 40W, and the bulbs are not included. Rated IP20, it is made for indoor rooms that stay dry.

We see it most at home over a dining table, where the chrome and glass catch the light from every bulb and scatter it around the room, or in a living room or hallway with the ceiling height to let it hang well clear of heads. At 100cm in diameter, it suits a room where it will be the main light rather than one of several. The twelve bulb positions also give you choice: clear candle-shaped bulbs for a traditional sparkle, or a lower wattage for a softer glow over dinner. E14 is a widely used small screw cap, so replacement bulbs are easy to find.

There is no switch on the light itself; it is switched at the wall, like most ceiling lights. It runs on a 220-240V, 50/60Hz mains supply, and as a wired-in ceiling light it is installed by a qualified electrician. The installation instructions are available as a download.
