Description

The Job is a 710mm table lamp built around a ceramic base with a polished bronze metallic glaze, topped with a 360mm cream faux silk hard-backed cylinder shade. The ceramic base stands 415mm tall and 240mm in diameter, tapering from a bulbous lower section to a narrow neck before meeting the aged brass fittings at the shade junction. The bronze metallic glaze has a reflective finish that shifts tone under different light conditions.

Designed for bedside tables, console tables and side tables in living rooms or bedrooms, the Job provides ambient and task lighting through a single E27 bulb (sold separately, up to 60W). The cream shade has a white laminate lining that diffuses light downward and outward, reducing glare when the lamp is used for reading. What bulb does the Job take?

The lamp takes a standard E27 bulb up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED bulb between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for bedside or living room use.

Is the shade removable for bulb changes?

Yes. The hard-backed cylinder shade lifts off the aged brass spider fitting at the top of the base, giving full access to the E27 socket for bulb changes without tools.

What surface area does the base need?

The ceramic base has a 240mm diameter footprint. A bedside table, console table or side table with a minimum 300mm square or circular top will accommodate the lamp with clearance around the base.

Can the shade be cleaned?

The faux silk shade can be dusted with a soft brush or microfibre cloth. For more stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but avoid soaking the fabric and do not use household sprays or chemical cleaners.
