Description

The Joan is a single-light wall bracket combining a matte white hourglass shade with a burnished brass arm and backplate. The shade is formed from two tapered cones joined at a narrow waist, with small perforations punched along the upper and lower sections that allow light to escape as accent detail when the fitting is lit. The burnished brass arm extends 305mm from the wall and holds the shade at a slight downward angle.

Designed for bedside use, hallway accent lighting and living room wall positions where a directed pool of light is needed without a pendant, the Joan provides both downward task light through the shade opening and soft ambient glow through the perforations. The 60W E27 socket accepts standard Edison screw bulbs (sold separately), giving flexibility to choose LED, filament or halogen sources depending on the desired light temperature and intensity.

The matte white powder-coat finish on the shade gives a soft, low-glare surface that reads as clean white under daylight but takes on warmth when lit from within. The burnished brass has a brushed, slightly aged tone rather than a high-polish shine, which pairs well with both warm-toned interiors and cooler greys. The small holes punched into the upper and lower sections of the shade allow accent light to escape when the fitting is on, creating a soft halo effect on the wall behind the bracket. The main light output is still directed downward through the shade opening.
