What bulb does the Joan take?

The lamp takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED between 6-10W and 2700K for bedside reading, or a decorative filament bulb for ambient use in living rooms.

Is the lamp dimmable?

Dimming depends on the bulb chosen and whether it is paired with a compatible dimmer switch. LED bulbs marked 'dimmable' will work with most trailing-edge dimmers. The lamp itself has no built-in dimmer.
