Description

The Jewel is a 500mm circular LED wall light with an integrated 30W LED delivering 1600 lumens of 3000K warm white light through a diffused halo effect around the perimeter. The gold-painted finish covers a slim metal disc that projects just 47mm from the wall, creating a floating ring of light against darker wall colours and a subtle glow on lighter tones.

Designed for bedrooms, living rooms, hallways and hotel corridors where ambient lighting is needed without a ceiling fitting, the Jewel mounts directly to the wall via a concealed backplate and requires mains wiring into a standard UK wall box or junction. The 120° beam angle spreads light evenly across the wall surface in both directions, making it effective as a headboard light in bedrooms or as corridor accent lighting in rows. The non-dimmable LED runs at fixed output once switched on.

The gold-painted finish is warmer in tone than polished brass, closer to a soft champagne gold with a slight matte quality that reduces glare under direct view. At 2.52kg the fitting has enough mass to stay secure on plasterboard when fixed with appropriate wall plugs. The 500mm diameter makes this the mid-size option in the Jewel range, sitting between smaller 300-400mm versions and larger 600-800mm statement pieces, allowing multiple sizes to be grouped on feature walls or stairwells.

Is the Jewel dimmable?

No. The integrated LED runs at fixed 30W output and is not compatible with dimmer switches. For spaces requiring variable light levels, pair with a switched secondary light source.

What wall colour works best with the gold finish?

The halo effect is most visible against mid to dark wall tones (greys, navy, deep green, charcoal). On white or cream walls the light creates a subtle glow rather than a defined ring.

Can it be installed on plasterboard?

Yes. At 2.52kg the Jewel requires appropriate plasterboard fixings (spring toggle or metal cavity anchors rated to 5kg minimum) rather than standard plastic wall plugs. Solid brick or block walls accept standard screws and plugs.
