Description

The Jenkins is a 626mm tall table lamp built around a curved brushed brass arm that arcs from a circular base up to a linen drum shade. A clear glass sphere sits at the centre of the base stem, acting as a visual counterweight to the shade above. The lamp takes a single E27 bulb up to 60W (sold separately) behind an off-white linen hardback shade that diffuses light horizontally and downward.

Designed for bedside tables, side tables next to sofas, and desk surfaces where ambient or reading light is needed without glare, the Jenkins sits on a 331mm diameter footprint. The arched brass arm positions the shade approximately 200mm forward of the base, allowing the lamp to overhang the edge of a narrow bedside table or desk without tipping. The linen shade provides a soft glow rather than directed task light, making it better suited to ambient lighting than concentrated desk work.

The brushed brass finish shows a satin texture that minimises reflections and fingerprints compared to polished brass, and the tone sits between gold and bronze depending on surrounding light. The lamp takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED bulb between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for ambient bedroom or living room lighting.

Is the lamp stable on narrow bedside tables?

The base diameter is 331mm and the arched arm positions the shade approximately 200mm forward of the base centre. This allows the lamp to sit on bedside tables as narrow as 350mm without tipping, provided the table surface is level and the lamp is positioned away from the edge.

Can the shade be replaced?

The linen shade is a hardback drum style with a spider fitting. Replacement shades with the same diameter and spider fitting type can be sourced separately if the original shade is damaged or if you want to change the colour.

How is the brushed brass finish maintained?

Wipe the brass frame with a dry microfibre cloth to remove dust. For fingerprints or smudges, a barely-damp cloth is acceptable, but avoid soaking the metal and do not use brass polish or abrasive cleaners as they may alter the brushed finish.
