The Jarras is a 40cm diameter glass pendant light with a cylindrical cognac-tinted shade suspended from a matt gold canopy and central rod. The shade is double-walled. A clear inner cylinder holds the E27 bulb, while the outer cognac-tinted glass filters and diffuses the light, casting a warm amber glow downward and into the surrounding space. The matt gold metalwork includes both the ceiling canopy and a matching band at the base of the shade.

Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands and living room task areas, the Jarras sits comfortably in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or higher. The drop is adjustable on installation from 490mm minimum to 1980mm maximum, allowing the pendant to be set at the correct height above a dining surface (typically 700-800mm clearance) or lower for double-height or commercial spaces. The 40cm diameter provides enough visual presence for a 1.6-2m dining table or a 1.2-1.5m section of kitchen island without overwhelming smaller rooms.

The cognac glass shows tonal variation depending on the light source inside, warmer 2400K filament or LED bulbs deepen the amber cast, while cooler 3000K sources lighten it to a honey tone. The matt gold finish on the metalwork is a low-sheen brushed surface rather than polished, which softens reflections and pairs comfortably with both warm-toned wood interiors and contemporary grey or white kitchens. What bulb does it take?

The Jarras takes one E27 bulb (sold separately). Most users pair it with a warm-white LED between 6-10W and 2400K-3000K to complement the cognac glass tint. Filament-style bulbs are also popular for the visible element inside the clear inner cylinder.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, if paired with a dimmable E27 bulb and a compatible dimmer switch. The pendant itself has no electronic components that would prevent dimming. Dimmer compatibility depends entirely on the bulb choice.

What ceiling height is needed?

For a dining table or kitchen island, the pendant typically sits 700-800mm above the surface, which works in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above. The 490mm minimum drop means it can be used in standard-height rooms, while the 1980mm maximum suits double-height spaces or commercial installations.

Can the drop be adjusted after installation?

The drop is set during installation by adjusting the cable length at the ceiling canopy. Once installed, changing the drop requires partial dismounting to re-thread the cable, so it's worth setting the correct height on first fitting.
