Jarras 30cm Glass Pendant Light - Matt Gold & Cognac

The Jarras is a 30cm glass pendant light built around a cylindrical cognac-toned glass shade enclosed by matt gold metal banding at the top and base. A single E27 bulb inside the glass cylinder casts light through the amber-toned glass, which acts as both shade and diffuser. The matt gold ceiling rose and drop rod suspend the pendant on a black fabric-covered cable, adjustable between 565mm and 2055mm on installation.

Designed for single positions over dining tables, kitchen islands or breakfast bars, the Jarras works in spaces where a concentrated pool of warm-toned light is needed without overspill. The 30cm diameter suits table widths of 80-120cm, positioned 700-800mm above the table surface in rooms with 2.4m or higher ceilings. The adjustable drop allows the pendant to be set lower in double-height spaces or shortened for standard ceiling heights. The glass shade requires an E27 LED, halogen or vintage filament bulb (sold separately) to operate.

The cognac glass is hand-blown, so each shade shows slight tonal variation and occasional small bubbles or flow marks from the manufacturing process. When lit, the glass casts a golden amber wash across the table surface below and onto nearby walls, warming neutral and cool-toned interiors. The matt gold finish on the banding and ceiling rose provides a soft metallic accent without high reflectivity, pairing with brass, bronze and warm timber finishes in mid-century, industrial and contemporary interiors.

What bulb does it take?

The Jarras takes a single E27 (Edison screw) bulb. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this pendant with a warm-white LED filament bulb between 6-10W and 2200K-2700K to complement the amber tones of the cognac glass.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, when paired with a dimmable E27 bulb and a compatible dimmer switch on the circuit. The pendant itself has no dimming electronics. Dimmer compatibility depends on the bulb chosen.

What drop height works for a dining table?

The pendant is typically positioned 700-800mm above the dining table surface. For a standard 2.4m ceiling with a 750mm table height, this requires a drop of around 850-950mm from the ceiling rose to the base of the pendant. The cable is adjustable between 565mm and 2055mm, so measure your specific ceiling and table heights before installation.
