Description

The Ivy is a large 18-light chandelier built around a sculptural brass frame, with thin tubular arms radiating from a central polished brass cylinder in two staggered tiers. Each arm terminates in an opal white glass globe held in a brass cup, and the fitting takes 18 x G9 lamps in total (sold separately). Overall dimensions are 90cm wide by 50cm tall, suspended from a single ceiling cable.

Designed for larger rooms with generous ceiling heights, the Ivy suits dining rooms above a 6-8 seat table, double-height entrance halls, open-plan living spaces and stairwell voids. The 90cm spread reads as a feature fitting rather than a background light, so it works best where there is at least 3m of clear space around the chandelier and a ceiling height of 2.7m or more. The supply cable is adjustable on installation to set the drop above a table or floor.

The brass arms and central column are finished in a warm polished tone that catches reflected light along the length of each branch. The opal glass globes are sandblasted to a uniform matt white that diffuses the G9 lamps evenly, removing visible filaments and softening the overall glare. With 18 individual light points spread across the frame, the Ivy produces a generous quantity of ambient light suited to rooms where a single central pendant would be undersized.

What bulbs does the Ivy take?

The chandelier takes 18 x G9 capsule bulbs, sold separately. Most buyers pair it with warm-white 2700K-3000K LED G9 lamps at 2-3W each for ambient dining and living room use.

What size room does it suit?

At 90cm wide and 50cm tall, the Ivy is intended for larger rooms. It works well above 6-8 seat dining tables, in double-height entrance halls and over stairwell voids. A ceiling height of at least 2.7m is recommended so the fitting reads as a feature without dominating the space.

Is the drop adjustable?

Yes. The Ivy hangs from a single suspension cable that can be shortened on installation to set the chandelier at the correct height above a table or floor. Typical drop above a dining table is 700-800mm from tabletop to the underside of the fitting.

How are the opal globes cleaned?

Wipe each globe gently with a dry, soft microfibre cloth to remove dust. For more stubborn marks, use a barely-damp cloth with water and dry immediately. Avoid abrasive cleaners on the brass arms, which can mark the polished finish.
